My life experiences and passion for the ocean are embedded in every single piece of art I create, even if the canvas is sixty feet or just six inches. I enjoy exploring “classic” themes: surfing, classic California beach life and sirens. The powerful female entities I create represent freedom and humankind’s unconscious longing to return to the sea, and by painting these icons on a surfboard instead of a canvas, it connects us more deeply to the ocean: the surfboard being vehicle to the ocean, the art uniting us with our unconscious.
